The right thing is often times underrated. People have pre-marital sex and drink their sorry asses off still. Lack of conscience, you say? Well, my guess is that people don't give two hoots about the implications of their actions. My question, is why don't they?

Why don't they fear unwanted pregnancies? Why don't they fear obsession with drugs that'll lead to a painful death? It puzzles me, aren't these things a priority? Excluding for those who actually want these things to befall them. Why not do the right thing? If you're not married yet, best you wait. If you're underage, wait a couple more years and you'll probably be able to hold your drink better then anyway.

What I'm getting at is, as difficult as the right thing may seem it's always worth a shot. Definitely better than having guilt haunting your very being, I say. It may be hard to give up smoking, drugs, or even a rotten relationship that has a one way ticket to Doomsville. But the right thing should overrule every lingering feeling in your bones, there's no justification for that. If something is right, then it must and very much ought to be done despite the circumstances.

Easier said than done, I know but doing the right thing builds character. You'll feel proud of yourself, not simply because you did a good act but you withstood temptation and prevailed. Sometimes, the right thing just has to be done, no question about it.

The right thing to do is underrated.

"You see that girl over there, she's my best friend."

That's what he told a little boy at an orphanage we visited for our moral project. I remember him being in formal attire, that chilli red tie coupled with a 100 watt smile. So, what was my response? "Nahh, he's lying. I'm not... He's a rockstar now" was what I said. I do remember flashing a smile back at him though. Come to think of it, I wonder whether he even meant what he said that night.

I'd take it back, I'd take it back in a heartbeat. My response toward what he told that little boy, did I say it to make the boy giggle? To have people think it was a love-hate thing going on? It's a little fuzzy, I'll admit, it's been more than a year why wouldn't it be fuzzy? I'm not living in the past... Not entirely, at least.

So, I guess what I mean is... I should've said that he was my best friend too. There was no denying it, at least in my heart there was no doubt. People knew we were buddies, but I've never had a friend like him. I miss how similar we were, I miss how loyal you always were, I miss our hangout sessions dearly.

Yes, like time, life goes on. Things got bitter and we said stupid things, I regret not being quick to apologize though, ever so much. I remember the first big conflict we had, our apology was anything but an apology, we had no verbal communication. You looked at me, I looked at you and we burst out in laughter and all was forgiven <3. I regret the apology for the final straw didn't end that way, I regret that the apology for our WW3 never came.

So if only I could turn back time, like Aqua says I would've stayed and wished you did the same. Well, things are the way they are now, no turning back and no second chances. Here's to success upon success in all you do and all the best that life can possibly bring *clinking of glasses*

And I know I say this to You all the time, but I guess it's time I told others: "My heart swells to the size of an overgrown elephant just thinking about Your faithfulness". How You put up with a tyke such as I, no one can say let alone comprehend. You never count my sins against me no matter how severe the mistakes I've made. For that, thank you will forever be an understatement.

I am grateful just to know of You. The knowledge of Your very name makes me feel like I've already achieved so much in life, when in reality, I haven't much at all. Your are a God who loves unconditionally, despite anything and everything. Oh, how fortunate am I to know of Your name.

You've always been my pillar of strength when the world sucked it all out of me. You've always been my guardian angel who gave me shelter when there was none. Really? I started my diploma studies in January 2009 and I've moved on to degree already? Seems rather improbable.

DUDDEEEEEEE...

Quite surreal, I must say. As our dean, Miss Josephine told us, we're all BIG brothers and sisters now (and that has nothing to do with physical appearances whatsoever) hence we ought to set a good example for our juniors so that they'll turn out as well as we did? *snickers*

It's just DAY (3), orientation bites. Nevertheless, here I am writing you. (yes, you who's tuning in and having ample time to do just that) Reporting live from our very own Taylor's University Mac Lab, yes, a laboratory of Mac computers.

There isn't much going on today, apart from the sea-gushing population it's good to be back here. A fresh new phase, with new people and lecturers. Sounds more like a second chance; whatever that you wish you had done, you can very well do now :)

Well, obviously the journey will be tougher than before, filled with obstacles and bad hats just waiting to tear you down. Trembling, I should be. Am I? Kind of... I swear that I had the confidence of a rock before the semester kicked off, all sturdy and solid? *puzzled* Now, its the size of a helpless pebble just waiting to skip the waters.

OH WELL, whatever it is. I know I am destined for greatness *repeats to self* I was made to be the head and not the tail (Deuteronomy 28:13) And so, here ends the coaxing I give myself to get through the day. Excuse the rambling and just fyi, I appreciate whoever gave two hoots to read this entire post. Thank you *applause*

Trading, a very interesting subject indeed. Though being present for centuries, its amazing how this simple concept has evolved across time. I mean, back in the day people traded gold, pepper, antimony, tea and so forth for various needs of a particular country. In which, it involved the greater good of a population and not simply for one's personal gain. Ah, strong utilitarian mentality back in the day.

Well, to hell with notations like that in our modern era. We hardly ever see such a mindset being put into practice. We don't seem to fathom what our decisions or actions may cause, it's about "what can I do to give me, myself and I an edge". Now, don't get me wrong I am all for self development and improvement but if it means leeching off and being a burden to another, then no. It puzzles me, why can't we be a little less selfish and a little more selfless.

Challenge for the day, go out and do something nice for someone. It doesn't mean buying someone a gift, it could just be paying someone a compliment "Hey, you look nice today :)", providing someone a lift to where they're headed, giving them a call to see how they're doing or any other pleasant gestures. It may be the smallest of deeds but you'll be surprise how it can touch the hardest of hearts.

Before I begin rambling about what this post signifies, I'd like to credit this post to one of my girls, Abigail Ngai. Recently we had a pep talk and it allowed me to reflect and be inspired by her words. (Now, don't go saying I never attribute you properly) Thanks dear :)

Well... It's about to come to an end. The span of over 3 years where we strive to attain academic excellence and social acceptance in varsity settings is about to conclude. The mundane routines of heading to uni in the early morn, the dreading of that insanely early class and the shit loads of work we detest, let's just say we'll be hitting the termination button on that one very soon.

The good, bad and the stupid. There's lots more where that came from, I assure you. I'm glad I was placed in the batch I enrolled in. Diploma in Communication, January 2009 (of course now merged with the March intake). Students from all walks of life were among us, the rich ones, the bright ones, the hilarious ones, the blur ones and it'll take me an entire post to describe just about everyone I met in the first semester (believe me, I remember all of them)

Fast forwarding till now, last semester and only weeks from completing two and a half years of diploma studies. Nostalgic feeling I tell you... Seems like it hasn't been long at all. Every piece of lyric I hear, each scene of a movie I watch will somehow in the most odd ways trigger thoughts of the early days on campus. For those who watch How I Met Your Mother (COLLEGE GOGGLES MUCH!)

Then again, I must say... My last semester wasn't what I expected it to be, obstacles that I expected to pop up and block my way came far later than I'd hope. So, I most probably won't be ending it on a high note, still high nevertheless just not the soprano glass-shattering note I originally pictured.

And yeah, my diploma studies is ultimately a phase of life, the stepping stone of my university years, if you will. Well, degree comes next and before I so much as even dip my toes into that whole other realm I'll be more prepared this time. I'll be tougher mentally and psychologically as well as up my game another notch, because it's a whole new ball game with spankin' new players.

As it seems, my life is fairly fine (it could be better, but hey I ain't complaining), at least I'm able to hold onto that imaginary folder that is labelled "diploma" in my hands with pride, having it air-tightly sealed and tucked away neatly into the "cupboard" of one Cheryl Lee Sze Huey with only vivid memories left to "savor".

I know this may be a tad bit early but...

Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood, Miss no-way-it's-all-good.

Many things are immensely fragile these days. Like that new porcelain vase that you're mum picked up from SSF, the new and improved, state-of-the-art scanner that your brother splurged on or simply... Your heart.

Ah yes, the heart. Now, I wish that came in a quadrilateral cardboard with the little black squiggly icon-like drawings. Ultimately, the words that elucidate why we build the Great Wall around our heart.

Remember when this phenomenon was anything but a worrying trend? When we naively placed our trust in whoever about whatever. It's like we were tossing our hearts around and foolishly expecting everyone to catch it each time, no matter the extraneous factors of "slippery fingers" or "slow reflexes".

As everyone can relate to, shit happens. Sometimes a whole wheelbarrow of it, I must admit. Believe me, I'm going through it now. All because I entrusted people with something perhaps they were not ready to take care of or merely did not want to. The ball falls in my court; my clouded judgments... Oh why must thou art exist?

Some may drop it

Some may crush/scar it

Others may go to the extent of piercing it

Lesson learnt: Depend on the dependable, seek council from the wise, don't fix it if it ain't broken, look before you leap.

I will make this as short as it is meaningful, or at least I'll try.

The feelings of sorrow continue to haunt me like an ever persistent yet annoying paparazzi, they just linger and don't come any closer to fading away. I've cried a million tears, who hasn't? As they say, tears are words the heart cannot express. *sighs* I've had a few sleepless nights just pondering about the tragedy that took place in the Wee household. I may not have known the whole family personally but I did know one of them. The one that was truly a blessing, he was the blessing itself.

Joash Wee, just saying his name makes me take a ride on the Emotional Express. Joash was more than my CF leader, he was a friend. A friend that treasured the friendships that he created with others, I just count myself one of those fortunate ones. Joash and a few of his family members were taken from us on 17th June 2010. Who knew a tanker would crash into their MPV, killing 5 of them? No one could ever predict such a fate. No one would've ever thought they'd lose Joash at the tender age of 23. A scholarship student/a tennis player/a guitarist/a man of God/an amazing boyfriend/a true friend/a blessing.

I personally still find it hard to believe simply because it is incredibly simple to be in denial, I still have his handphone number/facebook/email. To me, it just feels that I'm on holiday and when I get back to college, back to CF, I'll see Joash once more. Woe is me, indeed. I will cope though, fret not. He is in Heaven, enjoying it up there and blessing many many more as he has blessed us.

Nevertheless, Joash has led a fulfilling life, one that has left an irreplaceable mark on each of our hearts for always. He has fought the good fight, ran the race and definitely came in first. You will live on in our hearts and memories, Joash. So, this is goodbye for now but we'll remember you, we'll miss you no doubt. We can't wait to see you again one day, and that 100 watt smile of yours that everyone loves.

Having a hundred red crayons and just one blue one does not mean it cease to exist. Though a minority, insignificant and pale in comparison to the other hundred it DOES count. Being able to generalize a group of subjects furthermore achieving external validity applies when it comes to research and other related procedures, but in reality the abnormals are most definitely taken into account. In fact, Mr/Mr Minoritys' are sometimes those that are of the most value, I mean.. Just because they lack in quantity does not mean they amount to any less than the congregation. Exceptions, they are called. They aren't bad, they're just different.

The actual purpose of this post is to address an issue that has been lingering in my mind for quite a bit now, its regarding the perceptions that outsiders have of students from Taylor's. When you think Taylor's, somehow the name itself is associated to rich kids who don't give two hoots about their education but are present at such a prestigious college because mummy and daddy stuck it out to provide their utmost best for their kid. I won't deny that there are indeed cases of this sort but as I've mentioned, exceptions.

I am proud to be a Taylorian, of a college that may have exceptionally high charging rates but deliver in the department of facilities/lecturers/systems. That being said, there are exceptions to that too *LOL*. See they're everywhere, in just about everything.

I speak on behalf of those who aren't in the above mentioned category, those who constantly strive for success to obtain the grades they rightfully deserve/those who worry about their folks' pockets being dried up one day due to education funds/those who have decided to not be conformed to the ways of the world/those who spend hours at the library not to sleep or loiter of any sort/those who believe in making their years at college one that will propel them to greater heights in the future/those who are of the exception. Not the entire Taylor's body consists of spoilt brats, so cut the stereotyping and be done away with it.

To: guy with black t-shirt and guy with green shirt at the WM bus stop on 13th of June, 3ish. Thanks for giving me the urge to write this but really, quit it.

Alright, I'll admit that I did underestimate the demands I'd face when I was dead set to take up a job offered during my insanely long holidays. I knew it would be difficult, somewhat taxing and definitely a little inconvenient and I'd like to say I wasn't warned but I was, *chuckles* butohwellthat'sthat. Ladies and gentlemen, I hereby stand corrected. As ever..

A taste of work will definitely be a time where you'll experience new massive degrees of emotions that you never knew you had or could reach. "Fatigue", "stress" and "pressure" are merely words and can't possibly hold meaning for what it describes. ~~I'm not saying my job is BAD,~~ oh no. It's just the whole, being a newbie and being utterly foreign to these "shores", these "natives" and their "activities". Haha! People at work aren't weirdos, they just probably have high hopes for a total stranger to their company and treat her like she's been there for years. Sigh, but they need the help and I could use the exposure. I scratch your back, you scratch mine then.

Gut-wrenching would best suite the times I've been at HB. I mean, I had to dial up companies I've never heard of, query about stuff I have no clue about and act like I am able to grasp whatever is uttered on the phone. Damn. Its not the calling, its the calling constantly and the not-being-well-educated on the subject bit. Not tough, just I'd rather be doing something of variety instead of A to.. Well, A. I mean, I finished a sum of RM32.02 in about, 2/3 days! Calling my superiors and what not, spent mostly on job related tasks since I don't make phone calls often. Now, its like I have a phone bill of a totally insecure, overprotective psycho ex girlfriend.

There is a flip side to it though and it ain't perks. Work definitely widen my scope as to how work might be in the future. It taught me a universe of values, lessons, methods and what not. Dealing with the press is no walk in the park, I mean, people can actually slit your wrists if stuff goes wrong, figuratively. An eye-opener all in all, I've learnt to enforce greater discipline upon myself, ensuring that I'm in check repeatedly and not making a monkey out of myself. As well as taking initiative whenever, wherever. People hire people who they deem as capable and so, I have to BE that. Its about earning what you get and not just enjoying what you receive just because you can. So yeah, that's the working life for now, till July until college comes back in full swing :)

Who knew it would come this soon? I didn't that's for sure. I didn't think time would hit fast forward and lead me to another joyous occasion this quick. Hey, I ain't complaining. I mean, who doesn't LOVE weddings? :)

I mean, since 08' a LimKlan couple decided to take the plunge, that giant leap into a whole new dimension of life. And another came after, and another (Jerry&Serene, BenAngie, and now, Miss Redd and Lai Yi Long) They would be embarking on an everlasting journey hand-in-hand, overcoming the tides of life and still remain unshaken. Once you've begun, turning back or starting again is not an option. So, partners that you select are vital. Furthermore, a concoction of love, patience, understanding, trust, loyalty, respect are a definite must along this journey too!

Arriving early at Palate Palette, I was assigned the role of receptionist/DJ. Meaning I politely direct guests to the oh-so-wonderfully decorated "guest book" where they can express their congratulations to the new couple and keep gifts for the couple, if any. Oh, and I control the music there too. Lol.. Simple enough. Oh, let me show you the "guest book"

Undoubtedly it was the happy ending that my cousin wished for, she was beaming throughout the day. Why wouldn't she be? She has found The One, her one. One who has chosen to endure whatever the world may hold with her and love her unconditionally. There couldn't be a more perfect partner for her, they seem to match up in every possible way. May they continue to grow in love, in each other and in Him. Congrats guys! <3

I think the actual fact that my final exams have come to an end has not sunk in entirely yet. Happiness feels like its a mile away, somehow on a quest to find me but lost its compass and map followed by getting insanely incorrect directions by other emotions and eventually became hopelessly lost. Anywayz, its over for the time being. Thank heavens that sleeping hours, facial conditions and vocal ability have been normalized! In another words: HEAPS of sleep, NO zits and a CLEAR trachea. Bible Blitz, Gideons, Abby and I

Only having had the term "Gideons" swiftly cross my ear before, I was pretty clueless of what I've signed myself up for. Bible distributing, yeah but how? where? Nevertheless, waking up with anticipation that my day would be enriched and tremendously blessed-- that was the easy bit. Waiting for a bus while I communicated with my Partner In Crime at the other bus station was also no biggie, however public transportation can indeed be a form of annoyance when the need to be punctual is vital.

Furthermore, Klang!?! Now, that I've heard a plentiful amount of times. Where was it though? We never had the ACTUAL experience of ACTUALLY being in Klang but ah wells.. Once there, we met up with Michelle, whom I've seen before but never had the pleasure of meeting. The reading-writing-sporting type of girl, definitely was a ball getting to know her, sadly we had to split up when Mr. David & Mr. Vincent arrived. We parted from Michelle as she went into another car, but took the initiative to keep in contact about where we were and what we were doing, because it definitely would be a task working with new adults on her own.

The introduction was simple and brief, the kind that I like. "I'm so-and-so, you must be so-and-so. Great having you with us!" Anywayz, we first headed to a hotel in Klang, Hotel Histana where we would be distributing some bibles. Placing them in hotel rooms, the lobby and any other area where permission was granted. We talked to the manager, Mr. Loy who came so close to opening up to us when we wanted to pray for him, so close! but I guess having four people in a closed room while two are preaching and two are interceding, brought out some nerves in him but that is what following up is for :)

Next were the clinics, majority of them had friendly nurses and receptionists but what made it greater was how Mr. David presented each of the bibles to them. He was assertive yet friendly enough to make you want to comply with him. Man of God indeed! Though a few turned us down but there are heaps more that need to hear about the good news and let not one or even two dampen our spirits or shatter our hope to see the lost saved, as Jade once said, everyone deserves to hear it AT LEAST ONCE and whether or not they choose to make that bold move is theirs and their entirely.

Moving on, schools! Now this, I was looking forward to. I personally have a strong inclination towards children though they may not feel the same way at times, Haha! They have an innocence about them, many even have this glow in their everyday smile. So while waiting for the primary school to end their classes, we got our boxes ready and were believing God for these children to the bibles home and through whatever method be blessed by the word as how we have been. The kids stormed out of the gates and were curious to see these people standing around with little books in their hand. Coming right up to ask and querying came almost naturally to them, looking at their faces could only bring a sense of joy and warmth. 200+ bibles were distributed to students, parents, guards and more!

The balance were then given to Wesley Methodist School where the principal, Mrs. Fernandez provided great hospitality. Photos were taken along the way with Vince's old 2005 camera that had the tendency to turn off before photos were snapped. LOL. A blessing and enriching experience, it was. Seeing people willingly accept what we offered, although not being a Christian was enlightening. It made me realize that there are people who in fact are open enough for us to share Christ about them but we have to get out of our little nest of comfort and do precisely that.

Tired and feeling extremely hot after the long day, David treated us to lunch where Vincent was introduced to Hor Fun and chopsticks, lol. It was such a fulfilling day, we felt that much was achieved though salvation may be a while away but the seed is sowed and we pray for God to continue to knock on the doors of their heart. Where with that they too will be able to experience and encounter God in the manner we have.

The Gideons are indeed a group of men who are passionate about God and play their part in the community they're in. I salute them for their effort and the kind of optimism they have in seeing God's kingdom come to past. These men are dedicated and have a lot in them to give. They've blessed the rest around them and furthermore, blessed myself as well.

Aesthetic. joy. peace. relief. Flooded by these emotions once more, it has been a long while. This semester has been HELL to say the very least. Work seems to have taken the front seat in all that I do. Missing sleep, missing meals and appointments with people have been a norm. However, I can't say that it has not shaped and molded me into a more determined person.

Today was the due date for my CRM Assignment! 12 p.m was the due date and 12 p.m was when we handed it up. We were rushing to complete the finishing touches on each of our parts. The feeling after submitting it was indescribable. It made me realize that more than anything else, God stands by us through thick and thin. He always have and always will pull us through.

My house doesn't solely function as a house; an enclosed physical entity upon a plot of land, more than that, it is. It is a place I can call home, a home whereby love, warmth, and respect is evermore evident. What makes up this home of mine you might ask.. Well, I'd have to say those that reside beneath that roof of that home; the members of which I am able to call family for always. They've never failed to spring forth much happiness and joy, they make my days a whole lot more meaningful just by being present. Speaking of which, the presence of an individual; his or her mere existence can do far superior of what we may think.

broken tiles, not cracked.

Following up on my last vlog post which explained regarding the floors of my room and topped off with a cover, but yeah, that's not what I want to point out in this post. You see, in the last vlog post.. There wasn't any clear visuals that the tiles have indeed elevated, cracked and moved, I presume the angle was wrong and furthermore there wasn't all that much damage done. Till I got home today from college and witnessed the unthinkable..

So yeah.. Apparently the cause of it all has to do with the weather. During cny, I'm sure everyone can unanimously agree that it was scorching & blazing hot, so hot that it caused the expansion of tiles and it also prompted us to turn on the ac way more often than we usually do. In science, you learn about the whole expansion and contraction thing? About the dented ping-pong ball and hot water? Yup, same thing happened here; only to tiles. Lol.

WHO and not what to love

It has come to my attention that since I embarked on this journey of well thought-out words, properly-constructed sentences and the occasional random rants ergo, blogging. I have yet to discuss regarding that something which is known for its warmth and fuzzy properties worldwide, it may be crazy and complicated at times but it was meant to be simply amazing and down-right wonderful *beams*.. It applies to ALL of us, age or background isn't much of a factor, we all know it.. Heck we all say it.

"I Love You."

Be it to your spouse who makes you breakfast and whom you greet every morning, your parents whom you wish before you head out the door to run errands, a significant other who bids you farewell for further education or simply your dog who welcomes you home with nothing but ~~excessive amount of saliva just oozing out from its mouth~~ a bucket load of slobber. See how these three words apply to just about anyone or in our time, anything. We all have, in one way or another uttered these words and hopefully, most of the time meant it but who or what we’re displaying our love towards, I know it can’t be judge for everyone has affections for various people or objects but it is overrated ONLY because we make it to be at times.

My point about these famous three words is about how common and how loosely, if you will, they’re being used today. Girls who’ve made their way back from a high-end boutique would squeal something of this sort “OMG, my new LV heels are to die for! I just love them!” Hmmmm. You don’t say. As far as I know, the word “love” usually signifies something grand, real, and precious; something worth cherishing and sacrificing for, not something that brings comfort to the soles of your feet. When someone says “I Love You” it should be something sincere and of meaning, sadly it has come to nothing when we hear things like “I Love my new iPhone!”.. “I Love this cup of coffee!”.. “I Love my new top!” Makes me wonder, is there not a better word that can be slightly toned down to suite whatever object you’re trying to compliment?

Worst part is, while we’re happily parading our love towards our material goods, the people around us who so rightfully deserve our love are deprive of it. We lack the kind of TLC that we should be providing; instead we give our love to our possessions that really DON’T need our love, or at least like how people do. It is somewhat a shame seeing this phenomenon occur, our generation has become so caught up with materialistic and glamorous goods that we fail to recognize the other kind of goods that we ought to be treasuring all along-- our loved ones, family and friends.

And yeah, I know Valentine's Day is long gone but it is never too late to let those you love know that they matter to you so, do take your time and go the extra mile to show, express or better yet, display it all; they probably deserve it. I am reminded of the many people in my life whom I don't thank and let them know i love them enough, they deserve heaps more than what I've been offering. So yeah, I love you all, you know who you are and thanks for contributing in making me the person that i am today :) .. That being said, we're all emotional creatures that long for acceptance and love, hence it isn't enough to merely provide lip service, it doesn't do them justice. All in all.. if you can't do more, just do what you're doing, only do it better :)

Been a while since my last post, assignments have begun to stack and won't stop

Semester 3 began on the 18th and today is the 29th, so yeah.. Hasn't been too long but I'm already feeling the pressure, I kid you not. It may not be help-me-I'm-helpless-and-desperate-for-help kind of pressure but it's pressure nonetheless. The last two semesters have been way less taxing, at this early stage at least. Many of my assignments require skills that I don't possess or maybe, have yet to possess which makes it a chore, to learn up stuff you don't really want to learn. However, it'll be me who reaps it all *staying positive*.

Anyhoo, at least it was great to see the many long lost faces that I've been missing throughout the span of my boring and fairly unproductive holiday :) .. Still, the immensely LONG and TEDIOUS work, has begun it's toll on me. Songs that'll be perfect for now, Jimmy Eat World - Work, The Beatles - Hard Days Night, Bachman Turner Overdrive - Taking Care of Business, Donna Summer - She Works Hard for the Money.. Pfffft. I hope work starts shedding a few pounds and not gaining em'. It's not that I have a problem with handling work like that but sometimes I'd just rather not *chuckles*

A good nights rest was exactly what I needed after receiving news this heartbreaking; this disturbing. It was also exactly what I didn't get. Tossing and turning in bed for what seemed like an eternity, I went on and on, it filled every nook and cranny in my head. HOW COULD THEY!?!! // whoever they may be. Our country, our nation rather, is in danger whether you choose to acknowledge it or not. I'm not being paranoid, I'm being smart and safe. Yesterday was.. A tragedy? .. A.. downright unfortunate event. Thank God no one was hurt and the rest of the building is somewhat intact, ~~but the fact that we're moving into another building~~ is NOT the point, NOT IT AT ALL. It still doesn't justify the actions of those youths who did what they did. Just in case, there are those who are totally oblivious to what's happening.

Funny how often I've been updating yah, I don't think it's normal. ROFL.

Just been feeling the need to express more lately.

Oh, yeah. HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL! :)

Festivities and celebrations, not much of those this year. Not even a countdown in fact, I left Watchnight service with feet that were about ready to give way and not fulfill its daily purpose of getting me from point A to point B, a stench that could only be a result of excessive hours of physical movement in a thick wooly sweater with spotlights right smack dab in your face and fingers that looked like they've been through a grinding machine of some sort and amazingly I have the drive to reach for my Caden and put my fingers through more agony. *laughs at self*

Was the new year completely bad though? Heck no, the pleasures of directing my eyes from that stage, seeing heaps of people just adoring and longing for Him; there's no greater joy. Not just for Watchnight but whenever it happens, I feel tremendously blessed to be a part of the process where people encounter Him, I mean.. It's extravagant. Truly.. Furthermore, I got to spend new year morning with a friend whom I love to the core, the friend who always had my back and has been unimaginably supporting and understanding throughout the many phases of my life. I may not say it enough but thanks for putting up with me and happy new year! :) // Upon reaching home at 4ish in the morning, I stumbled upon a concerned brother of mine who intended to have a chat or two about the future, my goals, life and what not. I needed something like that, though it ended on a confusing note.

Hopped into bed about 5.30 and zonked till around 12 in the afternoon, not exactly the recuperation I was hoping for but guess my mind was still pretty active throughout my resting period. Thinking about 2010, I am so so stoked for all that's going to happen and yet immensely terrified of what it holds, GAHHH! Hate that feeling, it's SO two-way la. Well, as I anticipate the comings that 2010 has in store, I guess I should at least TRY to maintain composure and hit it off well, start the new year on a good note. Guess I kinda owe it to myself. As I begin to ponder upon the many chapters unfolded in my 18 years of existence, such as my first hi-fi, the day I discovered the WWE, my first stage appearance, the very first puppy I owned and the time I got accepted into Taylor's. I'm thinking.. ~~Time flies faster than a speeding bullet that launches itself into outer space and defies space and time and other various matters of the earth that I have no clue about whatsoever~~. Time passes real quick, yeah, that's what I mean *chuckles*

2009 has been fairly good to me, providing me with a stable and supportive group of friends whom i can count on, a very undeserved car & laptop of my own, reasonably well just-scraped-through-first-class-honors results, lessons about friendships and how to handle them oh so delicately, the drive to succeed and see others succeed alongside me, the strength and endurance to well.. Endure, the challenges and trials that came and those yet to come. 09 has taught me to watch my words, my conduct and my attitude. It's really more humbling of an experience than you think, when you begin to take a step back and reflect on the things you've done, the things you didn't do, the things you could've done but didn't do, the things you shouldn't have done but did anyway.

Hmmm.. Rock music? What is rock to you?

Rock is.. simply another genre existing in the music world amidst the many others?

Rock is.. a culture, a way of life involving the hardcoreness of a being?

Rock is.. a sweet escape, another route for freedom & release? Nirvana, if you will.

Just two days ago, I spent approximately 10 hours in the sun, rain and wind whilst listening to rock music at a certain rock festival, RTW 9 alongside John, Jeff, Jeremy and Zaf. I had so much fun with you guys, let's do it again next year! *rofls* Supposedly starting at 12, it was delayed [how unsurprising] Lol. Anywayz the weather wasn't helping much either, the sun was blazzzziiinnnng HOT, I could literally feel my jeans sinking into my skin. Later on, it started to rain.. really, rain, as in they had to stop the show for a bit. To top it off, a rowdy crowd.. Icing on the cake, no? Ok, cutting the sarcastic crap here. Lol.

I'm gonna KISS it cause I wouldn't be able to state all that happened and all that I felt and encountered even if I wanted to. It would be just too damn long. Lol.. So yeah, 10+ hours at SBJ in random order.

Rousing from a tranquil/idle state THIS early during the holiday period is anything but ordinary for me; just not my style but I was held against my will when piano class was pushed forward to 8 in the morning due to the convenience of a certain elder sibling of mine. In preparation for the retreat at Bukit Tinggi on the 27th & 28th, we went to Giant to buy the necessary items. Food, drinks, yada yada yada. Obviously, a truckload of food was placed in our trolley as we wheeled it out but to make matters worse, there were these eyes.. Coming from more than just one angle.. Lingering and gazing into our cart akin they've never seen food before. Kampungnya! Dudes, we don't have a problem. Somehow the thought that it was for an event never really crossed their minds, I just hope that they think we were doing charitable deeds or something. Lol.

Later, we headed to Carrefour to buy some snacks of our own :)

Shouting "MERDEKA!"? Dumping of lecture notes? Dashing out the hall?

Surprisingly none of that, college students express their joy otherwise I presume. Hmmmm..

Well, the second semester came, stayed and gave a pretty severe kick in the beehind and has now bid us farewell, never to return again. Merely 23+ hours ago, we sat for our final paper of the semester, Marketing Principles and Practice. Sure, everyone wanted to get it over and done with and leave confidently with their heads high and shoulders square saying "It was good, but I'm glad it's over." However, some were rather down with their heads hanging low, some where just plain oblivious to their surroundings and wanted to go home. Others, like myself couldn't wait for the GATHERING (got to be careful not to call it a "party" cause it isn't) that same night! Who cares how they did for the paper? What's done is done and it CAN'T be undone :)

The gathering was at Syakirh/Tasya/Kim Hee's place at Mentari. I arrived in the evening only to find a very sane Jeremy playing Dragonage Origins (who didn't stay that way for long, LOL), a less than awake Tasya with bf and a hostessy Syak [yeah I know, I said I'd think of something else to call you, but I guess Syaks best for now yah *winks*].. Jeff came down to get me, so that was the count before the rest came. Later, my other classmates Zaq, William, Sheena, Tino and Kader (who were both MIA minutes after they arrived o.O) Leela, Kim Hee (who was prolly tired from shopping at Charles and Keith) and Megat too, an ex classmate of mine alongside the others that were there.

I was surprised how pleasantly nice everyone was albeit I didn't know the rest too well, however after having some customary small talk, I found out there's plenty undiscovered common interests/tastes, eye-opener, really. It's always delightful to get to know people who are somewhat align with your thinking patterns and share the same kind of love as well as passion for music as you do *beams*. My classmates are very nice people, I just didn't really take the time to notice it, till now. Funnily, it didn't occur to anyone to snap a couple of shots or to make a video or something, I guess time isn't the only thing that flies when you're having fun (apparently your memory does too. lol)

But aw heck!

Our memories are better storers of experiences than any_GB memory card.

Know how people often say that opposites attract; how very undoubtedly/undeniably true!

Let me give you a crash course on two of my very close buddies, namely Abigail and Jeremy,

(their names form AJ, I KNOWW RIGHT! :D)

Abigail Ngai, the oldest of 3 siblings in the Ngai family is the epitome of all chit-chatting! Born with such fluency and clarity of speech, Abby has always been the one to speak out and make a difference. Talking.. It's not a bad thing at all, really.. UNTIL it comes to her enduring love for korean dramas & entertainment [oh, mercy!], believe it or not, that's when my ears magically develop an extra layer of skin that covers my external auditory meatus and shunts out all of that :) // Moving on, Abby loves pink, Good Day chocolate milk, ballet, happy endings, chic-flicks & lit. A happy and generally optimistic person who looks at life from different perspectives and embraces challenge instead of sitting and sulking about it. Also a very "girl power" type girl who is all about women rights and believes that a girl is perfectly capable of overcoming just about anything the world throws at her and does not necessarily need a man to be whole. Most of all, Abby is w/o a doubt dependable, trustworthy, loyal and all in all a friend for all season :)

Jeremy, who is regularly associated with porn and things of this sort was a pretty young and curious mind I presume *chuckles*. His wacky and sometimes bizarre behavior has often been a trait that most people like about him, he jokes a whole lot and laughs at problems, which is good thing, looking on the bright side of things and all :) // On the other hand, being a writer by nature, he uses his words to express his feelings and emotions as well as to write great essays and posts on his blog. Another way to describe Jeremy, (as Miss Mei puts it) "super-emo-melodramatic-melancholic". He is into PC games that strikes me as a extremely mediocre interest *snickers*, and can go on for hours about this graphic card, about that orange box and about these expansion packs. (Yes, I have been paying attention to your conversations, dude) Jeremy has also been blessed with a listening ear and warmth that comforts and cares for others; he offers help as much as he provides help, really..

As REGULARLY as they don't get along and disagree on things, they too seem to fit in ever so perfectly in each others life. Though they might be worlds apart in character, but they definitely care for each other immensely.

withstanding the heat

Fire? Heat? Nah, it ain't just about the physical flames that blazes and burns in reality.

It was just last week where we watched a movie at CF called Fireproof: Never Leave Your Partner Behind, it revolves around a fireman, Caleb and his wife, Catherine who is a PR person. Both of them weren't believers of the Lord and were going through a rough patch in their marriage; being head over heels was anything BUT evident in their current position as a couple. They were screaming about how one doesn't meet the others needs, throwing a fit when chores at home weren't done and ultimately living a life that didn't reflect their love one another and so on. As time passed, their arguments got worse until the point of considering a divorce, Catherine wanted out and just could not bare it any longer.

VERY VERY pist indeed.

Coming to know about this situation, Caleb's dad advised him as well as calmed him down and imparted words of wisdom into his life. He urged his son to hang on to his marriage for 40 more days, during which a book was be sent to him requiring him to fulfill certain tasks, Love Dare it was called. This book contained various instructions and orders that one must do willingly and sincerely to make a marriage a success. Even though he was reluctant, Caleb took the book and promised his dad that he would go through the 40 days and will not quit. Easier said than done of course, as challenges and trials stood in his way he overcame them with ease at first but during the latter part, it took so much out of him that he was overwhelmed and down throdden.

Later, Caleb's dad shared his heart with his son, telling him about his struggles in his own marriage and how that 40 days changed their lives and gave them a love great enough to last a lifetime. It was all about the Christ; for His love and sacrifice is without a doubt the greatest mankind has and ever will know.

I'm not going to go on and on about what happened, I mean I could but I won't because I think you guys should check it out for yourselves.

rewind; Switchfoot concert

It's been a more than a year since Switchfoot landed in KL and gave me one of the most memorable experiences ever; I still think about it once in a while to this very day. The concert was unlike anything I've ever been to, EVERYTHING was perfect. Sound, lights, effects, atmosphere, etc. The only imperfect thing was that I said "thanks, but no thanks" to a tall guy who offered to carry me throughout the concert. *sigh*, I could see the band, but compared to that tall guy what I was seeing was probably a spec of all he saw. Haha.. Oh well, a glimpse of Jon Foreman was good enough to make my heart soar and my eyes open like a mouth of a piranha. He's most definitely an inspiration, a talented musician/performer as well as a steady and well-valued lad. That night, Jon, Jerome, Drew, Tim and Chad made magic at the Convention Centre.

Switchfoot influenced or were pretty much the reason for my interest in alternative and indie (although they're not all that indie) but they redefined alternative for me, they made me grow fond of bands like The White Stripes, The Strokes, Fightstar, TAI, Franz Ferdinand, and most recently Safetysuit and My American Heart // Switchfoot also has tremendous amount originality and creativity that NEVER gets old. Their sound creates a portal of escape when life gets you down. Their voices are layered with such passion and heart that it feels like they're speaking to you, and only you. Their lyrics are absolutely inspirational and are so well phrased.. Lastly, they can rock and work a stage like no one else can; though that's just my opinion :)

Promising myself that I'd work on my CTR more today, I failed to.... disappoint myself once more Xp.. Haha! I went out with Lee Yee, Bubu and G who just came to give moral support and spend time with us afterwards. Yesterday, we initially had plans to work on our assignment at Pyramid but abandon ship after thinking about the cab problem and that it was pretty far and far too noisy. So, Gardens it was. Believe it or not, we spent about 3 solid hours, doing nothing but researching and working on our assignment. Well, there were a few minutes of using facebook and msn but we got quite a fair bit covered [proud of us *beams*]

Starbucks was unusually quiet today, we didn't have of a much problem with the atmosphere. Not much hustle bustle, up and down like the norm. Besides the occasional poofing sounds of the latte machines; it was all good :) // Caffeine did a good job in keeping us awake and alert after a while of course, how could we have done it on our own? Haha! Btw, G was DEAD BORED! Asking "can you all faster abit ah?" every once in a while, can't blame the fella I guess, sitting and just watching us do work. Wheeee? Haha!

Oh yeah, assignment work went pretty well but that's not what I'm here to talk about. I just found out, that I ain't half bad a bowler :D.. We went to Cosmic Bowl after work time, just to chill out and guess what, it was like some light-blinding-music-booming atmosphere. Disco lights, glow in the dark bowling balls, techno music and laughters of people mocking their friends when their bowling balls headed for the "drains". G, Lee Yee and I played only because Bubu had to meet a friend after, so yeah. This is how it went down:

TBR house

Just recently our Campus Action Ministry (CAM) rented a house at the Taman Bunga Raya area [nearby TARC and UTAR] for the purpose of gathering for makan, meetings, classes, lepak and eventually renting it out to 2 students who need a place to stay. This house, believe it or not is about 30 y/o! Man, talk about an old house. Well, it definitely needs a whole lot of work and TLC to whip it up into tip-top condition.

There you have it, our very own TBR house.

Yup, 30 years alright.

It may not look like much now but just wait, give it some time.

You'll see, it'll do wonders for the community :)

Saturday morning, a number of us were there to sandpaper chairs, dust mattresses, scrape walls, wipe floors, paint walls, iron velcro tapes onto mattresses, etc. Though we weren't significant in numbers but we definitely were in spirit, working on the place brought a sense of unity and made us work as one, because we all have the same goal in mind, making the TBR house a success by ensuring it becomes a place where youths can seek God, council and have a good time fellowshiping with friends. We definitely had fun, cleaning the place and all. Oh yeah, we were rewarded handsomely with pizza and chao fan afterwards, especially the chao fan. Xp

I believe it will be as good as new in weeks to come, fresh coats of paint, new curtains and furniture, TV! Haha! Although this is just the beginning of much sweat, hardwork and brain-cracking, I know it'll be worth the while and this is something that I'm proud to say that I'm apart of, truly :)

Though you might think that I'm blogging, and that's something but it doesn't really feel like it. Here I am, just merely typing (another something, as what many will think) but things feel kind of gloomy today, not that it was a bad day but it's just one of those painfully average days ya know?

I was a little down when my hardwork didn't really pay off, 33/50? It was definitely the average, lots of people scored 33, I mean, it's good but it just wasn't on par with the effort I put in, or so I felt. *sigh* Things aren't as easy as they used to be, and I know not everything goes my way but I'm freaking out for tomorrow, cause there's another test tomorrow! a tougher one, midterms; it feels as though I'm not going to do well ler.. Feeling like an underdog of an underdog actually :\

Hopefully the outcome of our CTR quiz aren't as disappointing; will be waiting for that. In the mean time, it's time to hit the books and shut up about the past :)..

By now majority would've probably heard about the total shutdown of Taylor's SOC, yeah, it's even on the papers; 2 students and a lecturer fell victim to H1N1. That's bad. You could say that we, the rest of those who are well "benefited" from the pain of others. Doesn't feel like a well-deserved holiday though, I haven't done much this semester that made me feel I've earn it, you could say it's a bad feeling, but I guess it was necessary. Although we have extra time for some assignments which is somewhat good but our mid-term break has "vanished", not really, just carried forward, to NOW. Good? Bad? You decide.

Abby and I went to TARC today, for the second time. Yes, yes, fugitives of the law yet once more, bad. Though it was for a very good cause I assure you, BOOKS for ASSIGNMENT :) // Funny how we managed to find 4 marketing books related to our assignment the last time we visited, oh so good! but only found 1 book related to our corporate communication assignment this time; we were there for barely two hours, somewhat bad. Maybe it means we should check elsewhere, I don't know. Good? Bad? Bummer.. Oh well, the rest have to be online references I guess, which are a lot more difficult and less accurate at times = somewhat bad. I haven't started on that assignment yet, ICC, though I know I'm well on schedule. That is precisely why I'm worried, i tend to slack when I know I have time, more like very likely to slack. Bad, for sure! Lol.. Hmmm, maybe I'll get started after this, if the creative juice/inspiration permits. Keke, we'll see how that one goes.

It was only minutes ago that I returned from Gleneagles intending to run a blood test as safety precaution, I mean it's pandemic time right? And honestly, I did expect the worst.

- I've been coughing till I puke for the past week.
- I've been sneezing till I tear up for the past two weeks.
- Medications have yet again failed me

To say that there were lots of people in the Accident and Emergency waiting room would be an understatement; it was waiting, waiting, waiting and a whole lot more of that. There were many super adorable kids too! made me have that i-want-to-be-a-mother-NOW-feeling again, *smirks* (ask me about it and I'll tell you, I wouldn't be doing them justice if I described them merely in words) My parents and I eventually went to Dome for a drink, luckily we didn't take our own sweet time cause JUST as soon as we got back we heard "Chhheerry Liiii ZZZZ HHuuii".. Oy vey *rolls eyes*

As I went in, I was somewhat terrified I admit *gulps*. Thoughts of negativity filled my mind so fast that I nearly wanted to go out but then again, I said a prayer before I went in and just, well.. went, plus I'd rather know the outcome. Well, after some questioning, there wasn't much to be worried about :) .. Apparently lung infection? Sounds pretty serious to me but the doctor assured me that I'd be feeling good as new in about 5-6 days so off I went, relieved and yes, happy.

While walking back to the car, I thought to myself, how effing lucky am I. For real, there were people in that very waiting room that were H1N1 positive! For all I knew I was sitting next to one but thank heavens I'm fine, my health will be fine. On another note, I feel that the doctors and nurses aren't given enough credit for what they're worth, it's such a risky job and yet they put their life on the line EVERY day for commoners/strangers like us, so thank you doctors and nurses! Oh yeah, False Alarm! I'm NOT H1N1 positive ok. For He is my shield; my shelter and so, whom shall I fear?

You could call me a liar if I said wasn’t feeling any kind of pressure ever since the semester began, week two is barely in and already I am feeling it; the pressure that is. Three different assignments are already up on bb7! Of which I’ve yet to really get cracking on some more. I feel as if the water level is rising above me so quickly that I can barely catch a breath [funny coming from someone who can't swim, lol] Oh God, take me now! Sorry for the drama queen outburst but it is a little intimidating, I must say. I’m the kind of person who fears the unknown, A LOT. The fear of not knowing is almost as serious as my phobia of frogs, I can’t help but w.a.n.t to know what comes subsequently, just so I can prepare for it or be aware of God knows what if it comes flying toward me and because of that undying desire to know, would probably lose countless hours of preciously sleep just second guessing the various outcomes of the upcoming events or just the upcoming events itself. *Sigh*, I always want to know.

I kind of wished that things of the future would come by mail sometimes, indicating the fortune or misfortune that is about to befall upon one’s life. “Hey, you’ll get dumped in 3 days at 2.43 in the afternoon. Do watch out!” How cool would that be? Or or, if the universe had a life of its own and passed messages around the globe via a jiggy? One shake for good things that are about to happen, and two for bad. Haha! Something like that la, the ability to not be restricted by time and space basically. Think about it, if there were such a thing at least we would be able to avoid that of which is avoidable, right? Plenty of good points in fact if we were to make a list of the pros of pre-warnings, it’ll help with huge problems such as recession, economic booms or H1N1 and what not. As helpful and logical as that may seem, the world doesn’t work that way. Things just come in any way they will and at any time they will, nothing changes that therefore we shut up and deal with it every day :)

I knew this day would come; the day where we shake each other's hands, say our farewells and go our separate ways. For there is no other choice, you have others to bless and I have to move on with life although it might seem impossible at times. We both knew it would come to this and now that it has; I say thank you for the times we shared together and hope you cherish it just as much as I do. In the span of these few months together with you, I found much joy, happiness and peace unlike any other, for that I am eternally grateful. Despite the times I've said that I never wanted you around and that I was better off, never have I once meant it and now regretfully apologize for ever saying so. Today; my last day with you has made me realize how much I’ll miss your company in the latter days when you are no more here, however, knowing that you’ll return someday brings a sense of hope. So, until I see you again once more, goodbye Mr. Holiday.

Massive confusion has dawned upon this very being, the uncertainty of something can sometimes kill, almost literally. Never have I been placed into a situation where this much confusion was caused [as far as my memory goes], there's more to it than just right and wrong, good and bad. I mean, just because something isn't right, doesn't necessarily mean that it is wrong right? Sort of, like how something that isn't bought can't be utterly deemed as stolen.

Just recently, an imaginary giant ball of sticky icky gunk just rolled it's way into my life. Uninvited and uncalled for of course, yet somehow it decided to stay and it has been around since then and boy, some mess it has made *sighs*. It tried to "knock" my principles and beliefs and basically just psycho-ed me. I sometimes ask myself, why aren't things more specific or precise, why can't it be simply.. Simpler. Why is there always that patch of grey contradicting the things that are and aren't. Why something found isn't always something that was initially lost? Why not helping someone [regardless of the situation] is often labeled as unhelpful.

Weeks and weeks we've waited for this day! *chuckles*

Everyone was pretty down ever since the whole PD trip was cancelled due to.... errr, nobody really knew what but we came up with a solution, FAST. We meaning Bowie, Jeremy, Zaf and myself decided to go to Sunway Lagoon instead // not too far, not too near, but sweet enough of an escape ;) // After all, it's each others company that mattered most and not where we were headed. Settling payments and transportation was way simpler than I thought it would be, considering we're quite indecisive people and all, hee!

That morning, we had another faithful comrade accompanying us on our trip, Anthony. Anthony is Bowie's friend who does kick boxing, guitar playing and is from Kepong High [yeah, that part I don't like so much, Xp] We warmed up real quick and all became friends with each other, he seem to appeal to Jeremy most, with Dota, Demigod and what not. Lol.. So after breakfast, Anthony drove us to Pyramid where we were well ahead of time and just wandered about. Soon, the ticketing counters were full, or overflowing if i may; rows and rows of people were already there so we quickly ran across the road and "ploughed" as Jeremy would call it.

The rest is history :)

Funny how life throws random imaginary hurdles in front of you as you are running the race of life. You see them from afar and know they are there; but often times just can't stop in time to jump over and yeah, at times it feels like they never stop coming. Haha.. Worst still, there are some of us who even let it take its course and just wait to fall *o.O*. Inertia and momuntum, yada yada yada.. Haha. It's somewhat a phenomenon of life, things get in your way and going around it isn't really an option. It's then where you just have to choose to.. either jump or be jumped over.

To jump, to leap sort of symbolizes victory, success or triumph, how something is uprehended mainly. The very act of overcoming something when (possibly) the odds are against you or not in your favour. It is great to be able to do so ultimately when challenges/trials are staring you straight in the eye; when they took you by suprise. Then again, it is not enough to merely "jump" over your situation, how about when you land? What's the point of "jumping" over a hurdle and not having both your legs firmly rooted to the ground after? It's not even counted as a jump really. Haha.. Furthermore, like i said "either jump or be jumped over". Ditto with "make a decision or it will be made for you." and when times get rough bare in mind,

"When the Lord closes the door,

someway he opens a window."

- He never gives you more than you can handle :)

So remember, when life gives you hurdles..

Isn't it strange how the holidays feel longer and longer when in reality, they're getting shorter. [26 days and counting] Just the perception of a person whose simply dreading the holidays I suppose. How much can one complain about a break? Much more than I ever thought possible it seems, *sighs*. Nevertheless, I think I'm doing pretty well in the attempt of keeping myself occupied. Been out buying new things, sightseeing as I'd like to call it and amazingly.. studying.

As the world grieves over the death of one of the most iconic people ever, Michael Jackson. I too am no different, I'm not the BIGGEST of MJ fans but still, I was and still am a fan. Though some people might think of him as a child molester but well, we shouldn't make an ass out of U and Me and speculate, who knows what happened for sure? // We should just be thankful for all he has done for the entertainment industry; a legend no doubt. Although he left us earlier than he should've, as most people said but he left us with many wonderful tracks and breath-taking performances.

I remember those days when Zain would come over with a stack of MJ cds just so that kor and I would get "educated" about the king of pop. Hehe.. Thinking back, I'm thankful that he did, if not we wouldn't have known MJ's music or the kind of impact he has made in the world. MJ was a thorough entertainer; one who made millions adore him for his authenticity and style (how could we not?), things like his crystal glove and the red dyed leather jacket (who cares about what the fashion police says?) Oh yeah, not forgetting his ever so famous ****** grabbing and moon walks, he'll always be the smooth criminal :).

Many have been blessed by his music over the years; beautiful both lyrically and melodically. May MJ r.i.p; thank you for redefining pop culture and taking the industry to greater heights.

princess's eighteenth/farewell

She's eighteen! Princess is growing right before our eyes; she'll be the first one going away to further her studies. *Sighs*. I can still recall our KK days together, princess hasn't changed much (personality wise), still the sweet, caring and fun-loving girl we all know her to be :).. BUT she has certainly grown physically; such a pretty woman now. Haha! [Pardon me if I sound mother-ish]

Aren't I right about her being pretty? hee! :)

Anywayz we celebrated her 18th at Neway, the karaoke at BTS. It was a farewell/burfday type thing and we went AT NIGHT :), certainly something new compared to our usual afternoon-till-evening trips to malls and such *beams*. The food was delicious btw, it's a pity i got stuffed so soon though. Later, we lalalala-ed all night long!!! It was a blast, singing songs that weren't particularly in our vocal range, TRYING to rap, changing the melodies and tempo in our way made it even MORE fun and of course hysterical (in a VERY VERY good way) and then...

Across the Universe

For some of you that might not know it yet, I am currently obsessed with the movie Across The Universe. Watched it for the 6th time in the last 2 days *sticks tongue out* Totally one to check out if you're someone who enjoyed shows like MAMMA MIA!, Sweeney Todd, Moulin Rouge etc :).. It features a line-up of songs by none other than The Beatles although I must give credit to the singers in the movie who did their own version eg, T.V. Carpio when singing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and Evan Rachel Wood when singing Blackbird. Across The Universe also utilized the songs and blend it with the plot wonderfully, everything was so smooth. The movie has a few parts to it, all detached but it'll make sense in the end :).. The main characters are Jude, a lad from Liverpool // Lucy, a girl from the states and her brother, Max // a wicked singer, Sadie and her guitarist, Jojo and a lesbo asian, Prudence. This movie is about the Vietnam war, UK/US, revolution, hippies, L.O.V.E, truth, justice, death, jealously and of course music. I can't say much just that it's a great movie (in my opinion) that won't disappoint.

p/s I LOVE Jim Sturgess who plays Jude ;)

till college starts and holidays end

Yes, believe it or not, I'm kinda complaining that I'm on a break *covers mouth*. Lol! feels that way, though I know I will regret saying this when it's all over but I'll just say it for now ;>. There isn't much to keep me occupied though (despite having 2 [somewhat flexi] jobs), not that I need more jobs/work, they just, most of the time, don't really add much to my day. Plus, I haven't many hobbies so I turn to friends/family and bug them most of the time *smirks*, then again some have told me they enjoy being bugged and I know they mean it :) Haha.. Besides that, I tend to laze and bum just wherever and whenever. Let me tell you about the things that SHOULD very well keep me occupied but aren't.

Before that, this is how I look like most days :\
- bored, lazy, uninspired, pffft..

Job #1: Flexi Data Entry Job where I simply just retype something from a yellow pages like book and.. Well, write down from what time till what time I did my "copying" work on a piece of paper and yeah, that's it.

Job #2: Flexi Database Type Job [for church library], it's basically like the first but it's more of a database like thing and handling books, keying in the title, author, ISBN numbers in all accurately and stuff as such. Then again, maybe it's not called a job cause I'm not getting paid, okay not

Both jobs can be quite taxing sometimes as it demands a lot from the eyes; staring at a dimly lit screen for hours is NO fun , so to relief the pain; this is what I do sometimes Xp

Afternoon was when i awoke from sleep, had a rather long and pleasant sleep due to the new sheets i guess, hehe. The day went on as usual though despite the delay in time: TV, online, food, pee, sleep. Can you imagine, these are the 5 things that I've been doing repeatedly ever since my finals were over in May, very "productive" I know but I must admit that I have somewhat a high level of laziness and refuse to do anything that would involve physical movement (uhh, yeah.. that lazy). Not that I'm proud of it, but am guilty of it and do address the matter :)

Anywayz, let's fast-forward till dinner time. Daddy had the sudden urge to go to KLCC so off we went, and returned home merely with a copy of Property Magazine and some Auntie Anne's but AH-HAH! this is where my brother and I both noticed some facts that in our opinion, vividly screamed recession.

- For those of you who might not know, Auntie Anne's little containers for caramel sauce has SHRUNK!

- A soft drink costing RM4.50?? Yeah, apparently the RASA food court has this breakfast promotion where any meal would cost just RM4, BUT a drink added to the meal would cost RM8.50!! Kor said it could be extremely brilliant or extremely stupid. Daddy corrected, "It's definitely more stupid than brilliant" hehe..
